Sumeet Maniar is a successful entrepreneur leading product and business development efforts in B2B and B2B2C and as CEO/CTO/Product head. Specifically, he has expertise in online games, payments, mobile, cloud, user acquisition (UA), blockchain and digital health areas. Initially, he developed his career in the corporate setting at Accenture, Xerox and Verizon and management consulting. Thereafter he the last 15 years in the startup world. The arc of his career covers from laying the foundations of the internet to then the application side and eventually mobile and other solutions. Sumeet built and led businesses in the US and around the world, with a few exits including a sale of payments division he created via Playspan onto Visa. Some hallmarks include pioneering and trademarking the Free2Play and freemium gaming business models, bringing over 30+ products to market to scale, on the founding team of T2 (Orbitz) and coined iDine long before the famous ‘i’. He has also raised directly and indirectly over $45mm in capital. He also was part of the one of the first video game platforms that drove massively multiplayer online games and developed one of the first strategy games on mobile. On the deal side Sumeet has completed hundreds of relationships with small to the largest global corporations. Currently Sumeet is the CEO of WellBrain and has effectively led the company from almost zero to its growth stage. He is an advisor to several companies from Metric.Works, OKLet’sBets and several digital health entities. One of Sumeet’s goals was to live the world and he has established digital businesses and expansions efforts and in Istanbul, Seoul, Paris, Melbourne, Mumbai, Melbourne, and in the US (NY, SF, LA and Chicago, Missouri) and other places. Sumeet is originally from Rochester, NY and currently lives in San Francisco with his wife. He has become a foodie and enjoys sports, hiking, traveling and has many interests and is a true globalist. He has a BS Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
